I love to show my hats and headpieces with a complete outfit.
It is only a suggestion but I think it gives a better idea and look of the piece.
My own wardrobe is a very important source of inspiration when I design my headpieces...and as a result, I am constantly adding items to it: dresses (I know...yes, more dresses) coats, fur, jewellery etc
Here is a sneak peek of my new gorgeous pearls necklace from The Accessory Fairy...
I cant wait for my new photo shooting...

As everyone knows I am obsessed with vintage things...
How beautiful is this vintage Pin-Up girl in my new ad?
I just love everything about her...shoes are to die for!

I've drawn this illustration of my outfit at Limerick Races.
I was wearing the "Josephine" Hat from my collection.
The coat is my own design and creation.
I have made it reusing a green vintage coat matching the color of the headpiece.
I added pearls as buttons to match the hand sewn pearls in the hat.
The fur collar is vintage from 1948.
The outfit is completed with a camel brown suede skirt and a cream blouse.
Belt, shoes and gloves are leopard print.
My handbag is from Carvela.

Take a look of this wonderful illustration by the amazingly talented Emma Kenny.
This fabulous work is going to be part of my business promotion and website.
It is an illustration of me wearing the "Sorrentina" Hat, one of my favorite creations and my favorite dress, the Fatale White and Red Sorrento pencil dree from the Pretty Dress Company.
This hat is part of "The Pretty Hat" Collection: Gorgeous pheadpieces to match and wear with my favorite dresses from The Pretty Dress Company.
Oh my godness!! I am totally in love with this...

Backstage of today's photo shooting at J&S Photography in Ballinasloe.
More than 40 headpieces and 15 changes of dresses.
Jackie was so professional and had such a patience to wait in between changes.
Photos are great and they are ready to go to my new website.
I cant wait to see the result!
Backstage photo credit: my friend Maria who helped me a lot with zips, hat boxes labels, headpieces handling etc

You might be wondering why this hat is called "Carmina"?

Well...let me tell you a short story:
In 1803, a collection of manuscripts was found in a Benedictine monastery in Bavaria.

It was an incredible group of 254 poems and dramatic texts mostly from the 11th and 12th century, written in medieval latin, old french and some german.

They name it "Carmina Burana" which literally means "Songs from Beuern" (the name of the monastery)
In 1936, german composer Carl orff set twenty four of those poems to music.
This composition quickly became popular and a staple piece of the classical musical repertoire.

Carmina Burana and specially its opening and closing movement called "O Fortuna" have been part of my early years, listening to the songs and the stories...
So many stories as petals in those roses!
